Seven 2007 is a web based application where in the students and faculty of Illinois
State University login to the system and register for events to score points. The
Seven dept. issues prizes every week for the user with maximum number of points.
Other features of the system include adding friends, viewing their points, changing
profile image, a community which includes a forum (basically all the features of
a social group like facebook). Also various roles and memberships needed to be managed.

Responsibilities:
- Developed business use-cases, class diagrams, ER diagrams.
- Implemented the CSS style sheet designed by the artists into the MasterPages.
- Designed the database architecture and normalization model.
- Developed various web forms for the project, with necessary validations and role-management,
authentication based on LDAP.
- Used ASP.NET AJAX (Ajax control toolkit) techniques to improve
performance and features.

Politics and Government Job Application System:

The department to Politics and Government at Illinois State University desired a
job posting application for hiring new faculty. The system requires user to register
fill out various forms, upload their bio along with reference letter info. After
submitting the system sends out an email with a form for the reference to fill out.
The system also has the admin aspect where in the admin can go through the applicants.

CAS Intranet System is a Web based intranet system for the College of Arts and Sciences
at Illinois State University. The system maintains the data of the faculty and staff,
departments, course schedule, grades. The system is linked to the other department
websites to pull out the faculty info. The system varies depending upon the roles
and memberships. New features are added to the system depending upon the requirements.

other features of events. Also an RSS feed is generated which could be used by other
applications.

User-Interface and Design (WUI GUI project):

The project involved redesigning the user-interface of one of the existing websites.
The WUI GUI project deals with the redesigning of the Illinois State University
admission's application site, which would provide a consistent, easy to use website
for all prospective students applying for admission to Illinois State University.
Various tasks like defining personas, comparative analysis, low-fidelity, high-fidelity
prototypes, and pilot usability study were done.
Role: Programmer and designer
Responsibilities:
- Designed the group website and the final redesigned website (CSS and graphics)
- Involved programming in PHP and creating other prototypes.

The online application is used by prospective students to apply for admission at

can save the application and submit it later in future.

A grade system was designed where in the professors would be able to add courses
taught by them, upload a excel grade file for students and upload syllabus. The
students would be able to login and view their grades.

ICSPS Networking Directory:

Designed the networking directory for Illinois Center for Specialized Professional
Support (ICSPS), where in the administrators and users would be able to add and
maintain organizations, regions and the respective members depending upon their
role. The normal user would be able to browse through the directory and perform
a search. Also reports were generated so that ICSPS would be able to publish a hardcopy
of the network directory.

the info regarding that podcast. The system would then publish a new RSS feed which
the admin can use to ping the i-tunes server and publish their online feeds so that
others can access it. It also allows admin to publish his blog.

RedzChat is an AJAX based chat system developed for a course at Illinois State University.
Users can chat with users currently online. AJAX was used extensively. Enabled
user to modify GUI components. Functionality of changing font, color, style
was provided along with the functionality of allowing the user to embed the chat
system in their webpage. AJAX based search for registered and currently online users.

The School of Social Work’s online application is used by prospective students to
apply for admission. The application has various forms that the students need
to fill out. Recommendation letters are generated and sent via email from the user’s
input. The application has all the features that various online systems have. The
School’s administrators would be able to login and generate pdf reports which were
developed by using reporting services.
